Getting out of bed was a little difficult this morning as the weather looked threatening and uninviting, Deb got up looked out through the shutters and promptly said NO and climbed back into bed, and that was the end of company on the ride.
As I headed south toward Shell Nudgee, I couldn’t help but notice the large number of bikes heading North for the Daniel Morcombe ride. Arriving at 8.30 I refuelled, got a coffee and started to wonder how many would brave the day for the ride.
First a text message from Bill couldn’t make it not well, then Larry rang he had decided he didn’t want to play in the wet, I already knew that Geoff, Julie, Phil and Vicki weren’t going to be there so this wasn’t shaping up to well at all.
Peter arrived just before 9am, we stood around chatting until around 9.30, before deciding to call it quits.
The ride home was enjoyable even in the pouring rain.
